R. Craig Lord Construction is pleased to offer The Home Performance with ENERGY STAR© program. This comprehensive home energy program will find ways to improve the comfort and safety of your home and save you up to 30% on your household utilities. Not only will you "green" your home through improved energy efficiency, but you will also be saving some green in the process! Here’s how it works:
Our specially trained and certified technician will visit your home and perform a series of tests to assess:
- Health and safety (carbon monoxide levels, gas leak detection, moisture issues)
- Overall comfort level (cold/hot spots, indoor air quality)
- Air leakage
- Insulation levels
- Heating and cooling system efficiency
- Domestic hot water system efficiency
- Major appliances
- Lighting
Our technician will then generate a custom report including recommendations for improvement and cost/payback analysis using your home’s test results, demographic information, and utility bills. Incentive options, including cash rebates up to 50% or low interest financing are available for qualifying work packages. *If you choose to implement the recommendations, we will perform the work and follow it up with some final testing.
The home performance screening and customized report are conducted for a fee of $125. Homeowners are entitled to free air sealing work, up to $1,000 value, fully subsidized by the program. Rebates and low interest financing are available for additional work including insulation and HVAC upgrades. These rebates, in addition to the energy savings you will realize on a monthly basis, make "greening" your home more affordable than ever!
